On Palm Sunday April 16th 2000 was the first big gathering of the German Durben families in Nickenich – equivalent to the reunion in America.
Under the supervision of Jutta Hansen all Durben’s in Germany including all other family lines which do not contain the Durben surname any more (female family lines) were contacted and invited.
As a result about 160 persons attended the meeting.
An extensive and enticing program was offered. Group photos were taken of all the major family lines. One of the highlights was the presentation of the newly published book ”Durben – Familytree and History of our Family”. |
